We have been busy visiting some of our farms to touch base and secure stock for the 2024 berry season. It has been quite a spoil visiting everyone again. The orchards are looking very promising for the new cherry season about to start by mid-November.
Some of our farms where not so luck to escape from the recent flooding in the Overberg. Bridges were washed away along with damage to fruit tunnels. Getting lost on the roads less traveled and being rescued by a farmer was both scary and exciting at the same time. I can honestly say that some of the best people I have ever met are farmers. They always welcome you with open arms and the offer of "lekker koffie".
We also had the privilege of visiting our farms again out in George. It is such a beautiful sight with all the wheat fields, fresh green leaves and little lambs as far as the eye can see. We also managed to secure stock for the 2024 season and possibly add new goodies to our ever growing list of products.
